Paul Insect

Paul Insect’s refined interpretation of visceral subject matter has thrust him towards fame. Paul’s work has evolved considerably. Victorian graphics have been replaced by Dada-ist collages fusing adolescence, aggression, and rough-around-more-than-just-the-edges pornography. These motifs are tempered by a joyous use of colour and an ambitious style. Paul Insect is probably most famous for his 2007 solo show Bullion exhibition at London’s Lazarides Gallery. Damian Hirst is reported to be a fan of Insect, and is said to have purchased the show days before it opened. Insect, has worked alongside well known artist Banksy at the Cans Festival and Santa’s Ghetto and on the separation wall in Palestine.
